Hoover Medal

The Hoover Medal is an engineering prize given jointly by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers (AIME), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). It is administered by the ASME. The medal is awarded for "outstanding extra-career services by engineers to humanity".
