Burton J. Loupee

Biography

Burton J. Loupee was born on Dec. 29, 1932, to Elmer and Esther Loupee of Newton, IA and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in electrical engineering in 1956, and later received his master's degree in from the University of Iowa. Burton was employed by the Ames Lab of the Atomic Energy Commission after graduation and joined the Apollo team at Collins Radio Co. in 1962.

Loupee served on the IEEE Board of Directors in 2004 and was involved with the IEEE Cedar Rapids Section.

Loupee died on Jan. 10, 2021.
