About Board

The IEEE Publications Board was one of the major boards subsidiary to the IEEE Board of Directors created in 1963 in the first year of the merger that created the IEEE. It was renamed the IEEE Publications, Products and & Services Board in 2001 and the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board in 2002, in recognition of the growing breadth of its mission with the coming of new technologies such as electronic publication and the internet, and in particular IEEE Xplore and the IIEE/IEL Electronic Library.
