I was born in 1946 just after the end of World War II, and thus I am part of the frontal wave of the “baby boom” generation. My parents were both born in San Antonio, Texas also; however my grandparents immigrated to America from Italy, Mexico, and Germany. I have an older brother and two younger sisters, and the six of us lived in a modest house, all sharing one bathroom. We did not have a television set in the house until I was 5 or 6 years old.
