Archives:Perspectives From a 50-Year Career in the Steel Industry
This article, originally published in the January 2015 edition of Iron & Steel Technology, is a career retrospective from Bernard Russell Queneau. Queneau, an AIME member since 1931, describes the exciting breakthroughs in steel making in the 1930's, his work as a senior metallurgist in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and the challenges he faced reversing the fortunes of the nearly bankrupt Duquesne Steel Mill in the 1950's.
