What is SAR? Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a radar system that uses the motion of the vehicle to synthetically create a aperture (antenna) and by using RADAR, which generates electromagnetic signals or “pings” a SAR system can deliver a picture or rendering of the terrain below.
