The IEEE History Center maintains a physical archive that houses roughly 250 linear feet of archival documents pertaining to IEEE  institutional history, encompassing paper documents, audiovisual material and some objects. Many portions of the collection have been posted on the Engineering and Technology History Wiki. Additionally, the IEEE History Center maintains a research library of secondary literature related to the history of electrical technologies and a historical textbook collection. Several small display cases containing artifacts can be found around the IEEE Operations Center, and IEEE History Center staff work with IEEE OUs to install exhibits at IEEE conferences.

Visitors by appointment only.
