Muriel Mussells Seyfert

Muriel Mussells Seyfert was born in 1909 in Massachusetts, and is an American astronomer known for discovering the "ring nebulae" in the Milky Way.
She worked at the Harvard College Observatory, and discovered the ring nebulae in 1936. She had married Carl Keenan Seyfert in 1935 and the Seyfert galaxies and the Seyfert's Sextet were named after him.
