Mine Emergency Response Interactive Training Simulation

MERITS, or, Mine Emergency Response Interactive Training Simulation, allows miners an opportunity to practice important crisis skills in the event of a mining emergency. The software was developed on similar disaster preparedness technologies from other industries. Participants are tasked with managing various aspects of a crisis, including public relations, supply ordering, and organizing mine rescue teams. The success or failure of the simulation outcome is dependent on user's decision making abilities.
