IEEE University of Houston Student Branch History

From ETHW

History of IEEE Fields at the University of Houston

Prepared and maintained by the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Houston.

The IEEE Student Branch at the University of Houston was established in April 14, 1955 to serve students in the Electrical Engineering Department, but now welcomes students in all IEEE Fields. IEEE acts as a medium to connect students to the professional world. The well-known annual Chili Cook-off is one of many examples of how students would be able to interact with engineering companies around the area, as well as other engineering students. A list of the current officers with contact information and a description of the current activities of the Student Branch are to be found on its website.

A year-by-year list of its officers and a summary of its activities can be found on the ETHW for prior years. Each of the years in the following table which is a linked to the archived formation for that year.
