Heisenberg and Schrödinger develop quantum mechanics

In 1925, Werner Heisenberg developed matrix mechanics and Erwin Schrödinger invented wave mechanics and the non-relativistic Schrödinger equation for atoms. This formed the basis of quantum mechanics.
