Biography

Harry E. Young held a B.S. cum laude from the University of Miami and received an M.S. from Columbia University. He had an illustrious 29-year Bell system career. He was the founder of the Wireless Interconnection Forum, a frequent speaker at industry events, the inventor of a twoway, two-wire interface and authored numerous books, including the soon-to-bereleased "Wireless Basics," and contributed to the "Electronics Handbook." He also developed and taught a course in conjunction with Bellcore called "Wireless Interconnection" named and modeled after one of his books.

He was a senior member of the Marco Island Civil Air Patrol, a Coast Guard Auxiliary officer and a member of the University of Miami Iron Arrow Honor Society.

Young died on January 17th, 1999 of heart failure.
