The King and Prince Hotel on the beach not far from the air station served as bachelor officers quarters for the students; with capacity greatly increased by installing multi tier bunk beds in each guest room. German prisoners of war did the cooking and serving for the student’s mess. The building at the far left was outfitted as a training CIC and was served by four radars on the towers in front of the hotel. The high, small antenna on the left tower serves a SG surface search radar and the large antenna on the same tower feeds a SK air search radar. The right tower holds a CXHR prototype three dimensional search radar and a Mark 12,22 fire control radar with height finder.
