Radar antennas on the island of the new Yorktown. Low fore and aft are two Mark 12 gun fire control radars. Next, starting from left above the Mark 12, is the round parabolic antenna of the SM height finding radar on a roll and pitch stabilized mount. To its rirght and higher is the antenna of an SG surface search radar, and to the right above is the SC radar antenna, a backup to the primary SK air search radar. To the left of the SC antenna is the flying bedspring of the SK radar, a greatly improved vesion of the CXAM. Lower and to the right is the antenna of another SG surface search radar.
