IBM 5150 PC
The IBM Personal Computer(PC)

5150 was presented to the news media in New York City on 12 August 1981. Competing with the Apple II, IBM used its well-known brand name to capture much of the new PC market. For software, IBM hired the Microsoft Corporation to design the MS-DOS operating system.
