When Russ Theisen worked at IBM in Endicott, NY in 1963-1965 he helped develop the first Solid State Logic Computer IBM-360-20. He had several years of Electronic training that he was able to bring to the IBM company that had experience in mechanical and tube electronic manufacturing processes but not so much in the semiconductor utilization.
