Help:Editing Existing Content
This is a help page in the Writing section.
The Global History Network actively seeks out your knowledge and expertise in the history of technology. Even the best of articles on the GHN can be made better, even edits as minor as correcting a typo or punctuation add a great deal value. There are a number of ways that you can get started on editing articles.
- Browse by technical category of your expertise
- Look at the list of short pages, which have little text
- Go through random pages
Make sure you are logged in, and when you have arrived at a page you would like to edit, click on the "Edit" button. For instructions on how to format your article, see the help article on either the Rich Editor or Wikitext, depending on what you are using. If you are not sure, or would like to know the difference between the two, see the help page on Rich Editor vs Wikitext.
