DETAIL SHOWING "EDISON PIONEER" C. E. ESTABROOK WITH FIRST FORM "1880 WIRE TERMINAL BASE" SOCKET AND BULB CHANDELIER

Detail of section of group photograph dated 19 October 1923 taken at the Edison Pioneers offices of the original "Edison Pioneers" who worked with inventor Thomas A. Edison, in some cases as early as at the Ward Street location in Newark, New Jersey - and later on at Edison's relocated offices and laboratory at Menlo Park, New Jersey - and finally at the West Orange, New Jersey facilities of Thomas A. Edison, Inc.

Detail shows Edison associate C. E. Estabrook, who worked close with inventor Edison in the early days at Menlo Park and later at the West Orange, New Jersey laboratory, manufacturing plant and offices. Here we see a stern looking C. E. Estabrook standing close and in front of a first form Edison chandelier with original first form "1880 Wire Terminal Base" Edison electric light sockets and electric incandescent light bulbs.

C. E. Estabrook was a close associate of Thomas A. Edison and was present at most of the inventor's historic developments.

This detail is from an historic photograph that bears the provenance of the estate of Thomas A. Edison, Glenmont, Lewellyn Park, West Orange, New Jersey and was discovered by American historian and archivist Richard Warren Lipack.
